This project was based on goals and aspirations and one of my goals is to go to Savannah College of Arts and design. So out of all of my sketches, I decided I wanted to depict SCAD in my art. I used tissue paper for clouds and the trees and construction paper for the road in the foreground. I also covered the sky with construction paper but I ended up coloring it with oil pastels because I felt like it added more depth. I personally really enjoyed this project because I feel like I put more effort into it than usual and I really like the outcome. I enjoyed getting to use oil pastels and it was interesting figuring out how to blend them and make it look how I wanted it to. If I had to critique my own work, I would say that the perspective could have been a bit clearer and I wish the colors didn't get as muddy as they did.
I like your use of oil pastels it really goes into depth of your work. You represented your goals and aspirations well with your art. I like how you put alot of effort into this collage because in life you have put alot of effort to reach your goals.

ReplyDeleteI like you used the oil pastels on this piece, it makes it seem more real. And instead of coloring in white clouds, I like how you used the pink on it. It makes it seem more dreamy.
